About two months ago, I fell while riding a bike. I met the ground with my hands, and hurt my arm.
It was still hurting three days later, so I went to the emergency room. "No signs of breakage. Go home. Pain meds".
Then I got the arm x-rayed. "No signs of breakage. Go home. Pain meds."
Now it does not hurt that much, except when I try to lift things, use it to hold my weight on the bus or subway or .. well. do anything with it. It does not hurt when I walk or sit, or use the computer, thankfully. But it does hurt the most when I lie down, however, which has had some effect on my sleep.
Today, I had a new doctor's appointment. I mentioned that I still had pains in the elbow and wrist. "Oh, maybe we should X-ray the elbow and wrist this time". WTF?
I HAD ALREADY HAD AN X-RAY! Apparently, the elbow and wrist don't count as part of the the "forearm"... and they had only X-rayed the "forearm" before ... despite I having mentioned many times before that it was my elbow and wrist that hurt the most. This really makes me angry. (If my writing is incoherent, it is because I have been up much too late ...)
