Apparently the solution for no soap or paper towels in the bathroom at work is a giant bottle of hand sanitizer.

My girlfriend's dad was waiting for a flat bed to go pick up his truck after a crash into a guard rail yesterday afternoon. His brakes went out going down hill and almost went off the side of the road. He has a huge work truck that is lifted and is just overall heavy, thus the flatbed.

AAA "sent" someone but they only sent a small tow truck which wasn't going to be able to tow him down the windy residential streets.

Then they said it would be 3 hours till a flatbed could get to him.

3 hours pass and nobody was there. We called, they said the driver went but "didn't see him" so he left.

Told them to send someone else. They said it would be ANOTHER 3 hours.

We said **** it, we live a bit over an hour away (no traffic) so we might as well get him. He's stuck in the Pacific Palisades, some fancy rich people hills, which isn't far from neiva rubber cities with multiple dispatch centers for tow trucks.

These people didn't want to do their job and have to drive up the hills, load his truck, and then drive him over an hour away, so they just say some bull**** like "we couldn't find him" or "it'll be 3 hours" so you hopefully give up on the tow.

He got into the accident maybe around 5 and we brought him back home at about 1:30

The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. The truck is still sitting there and who knows what the excuses will be today.

I had this happen to me once - I tend to be a little bit outspoken and it gets me into trouble on the regular. Anyway, I had it played back to me and it was not easy to listen to. I really let some guy have it. I felt bad listening to it when I was calm. I've tried to be better since then.

The fact that I need to type 'Bristol England events' instead of 'Bristol events' on Duckduckgo, because apparently there exists some village named Bristol TN which pops at the second place.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

there exists some village named Bristol TN which pops at the second place.

I grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee, the largest of the "Tri-Cities" ("TRI" in airport parlance) including Kingsport, Tennesse, (once the 2nd home of Kodak after Rochester, NY) and Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia, which straddles the state line which actually runs down the middle of Main Street.

Bristol is famous among stock car racing fans (not for me) with the Bristol International Speedway (locally known as "Thunder Valley"), which is gargantuan and holds way over 100K people!

I paid BT to upgrade my internet to fiber on thursday, instead of doing that they arrived, broke my working broadband and my phone line and when i finally got through their ****ty phone services on my mobile, im given an estimate of the 4th of ****ing august to repair my internet and phone line, and no compensation, i dont have any phone signal because i live in the middle of god damn no-where its like the bloody stone age around here.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

That's ****ing lame, I have had no end of issues with BT (also living in the middle of know-where) and I don't have a land line so trying to get through to them is an appalling nightmare as they constantly try to call you back on the land line number, and if you leave them your mobile number they start harassing you in the middle of the night trying to 'problem' solve there ****ty ****ing cables and hubs.... I should stop before I go on a full blown BT rage

Best thing I can recommend is that when it's working threaten to change to another provider

Time to hit up Amazon Chat Reps, sometimes I chat with them just to have someone to talk to. They are very helpful.

Tried online windows 10 upgrade....cannot install. Fine.

Created usb boot drive and tried upgrade from there...cannot install. Rassum, frassum, mumble grumble...

Sacked up and WIPED drive and tried clean install...CANNOT INSTALL...*strangles kitten*

Went to work and googled the stop code. *SMH*

Apparently Windows install doesn't like me having all those drives. The *fix* is to unplug all the other drives then install, plugging in the other drives after the install has finished.

I REALLY hope this works...

Thanks for the warning. I have 4 hard drives and 3 optical drives, plus a multi-card reader that looks like drives.

But I would probably have unplugged them anyway, first time, certainly my Linux drive.

He added that the former president “wants to terminate the Constitution” and “says if he loses there will be a bloodbath in America.”

I MAY have done it when i installed W8 but that was such a long time ago and the os was so trouble free that I never had the need to do it again ><'

Somehow I lost a cap I just had and just took pictures of.  I know I put it in my pocket after I shot it.  I've triple checked everywhere and it straight up disappeared.  ****.
