Titan lived up to the hype for me, it was everything I was looking for in an anime, and then some
I'm only one episode in and already I'm like, why did he(the Survey Corps guy) just think it was cool to give this poor woman her dead son's severed arm? If it was his head, would he have just as nonchalantly handed that to her as well? And then he makes the entire scene about himself with his poor me attitude, not all the lives that were just lost.
And why is this kid the same cookie cutter, gloomy mood, angry at the world headstrong self entitled little winy **** from every other anime ever made, with his stereotypical yin to his yang sister who's just a stonefaced emotionless automaton. I mean why does he give a damn at the age of what, 11? 12? Coming from a family who care about them, these kids are downright unrelatable and ungrateful. Get out of hero mode bro, calm yo ****. Is this whole cattle thing supposed to be some kind of comment on modern society, and his hipster sensibilities won't let you enjoy your loving family? Not to even begin on Mikasa and her robotic attitude. Does this girl have a thyroid deficiency? She has the range of emotion one might attribute to a pillow filled with sawdust. Even after that tramatizing event, she still acts like she just smoked an oz. of grizz.
Oh and, WHY DON'T THE TITAN'S HAVE GENITALS?
I'll give it a few more episodes, but if AoT keeps pissing me off with it's predictability I'm gonna have to take a pass on the rest.
