So much wrong with this design.

Like post-modern architecture at its worst.
Like most things in business, don't blame the architect/programmer/engineer, this was a management decision.
Everyone up top was thinking profits and not whether or not it would look right, be practical or made any sense what-so-ever.

It's the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet of computer cases.

Tp4 blames engineers for being spineless.

God damn it.

Windoz autoupdated Tp4's laptop bios, which locked out undervolting.

It's a good thing "This" particular laptop allows flashback, there are cases where certain sections of microcode are fixed once Intel pushes them out (security vulnerabilities).

This is a huge problem, because old machines are slow already, and they get dragged down further by successive updates.

I've been having to use Win11 lately for work.
If you're comfortable with it, I'm starting to change my stance on Mac and Linux, not because Windows is so good but because once you find out how much better life is on those you will hate Windows far more than you already do.

God damn it,   2x power efficiency? 6-6.5ghz (on mobile), 7ghz+ on desktop,  INSANE.

Now that we have detail on Zen7,  HOW IS TP4 supposed to buy a laptop until 2027-2028..
:-X

ALSO, Tp4 guessing Zen 6 is NOT delayed,  They're only saying that so you'll buy up today's 9800x3ds.

Hrrrm.. Steam machine.

1 Gigabit Ethernet. DisplayPort 1.4. HDMI 2.0. One USB-C and four USB-A ports.

Dp 1.4,  so it's going to use DSC to get to the claimed 4K240hz.  That's okkkk buhh, hrrrm.. Wish they'd gone and just gave us a full 80Gbps port. There's no reason RDNA3 can't do it.

It's around a 4060 performance lvl though (according to reviewers).  Guess that's enough if the games are highly optimized for it.  They should've done put in something like the 8060s for smaller form factor, or a 7900xtx for durability.

It's probably not as fast as a 4060 though, It's going to be slower than the 8060s which has +12 CU.
