38°C outside (100F).

34°C inside (93F).

Oh baby, get in the ocean!

I do not live near the ocean.

Step 1: buy shell pool from bunnings
Step 2: take home fill with water
Step 3: ????
Step 4: profit, i mean backyard ocean

We hvae one - my daughter monopolisies it ,besides you get all wet in the water.

And oh hey great, next door just let me know they are going to have a 21st party tonight.  Just what I need to help me sleep on what could be the hottest night on record.

Not.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Got my JD style ANSI plate/case for my Phantom build and have this alignment problem. Build plans for the weekend are now off :(

See how it's rectified I guess.

Here it is with another Phantom plate over top to show how far off it really is between F and Esc rows.

Only way to do this is sit in spy and/or be refreshing if you KNOW there is something coming. Otherwise just don't sleep and sit in spy, which I wouldn't recommend.

It's still too hot to sleep, and next door's party is still going, although the music has not been very loud.

They have already sung happy birthday.

I'm having one of those days were everything is not right. To make things that much better, i was just notified that USPS delivered a package to the wrong address. It wasn't even the right zip code! And I had the right address on the package. I have no idea why the sent it some place else. It now appears to just be lost. Just great. Frigging great.

I am out of my mind right now.

There's no cable left, it's right at the edge of the screen. And there are probably thirty connections in this little half inch wide cable. Even if it broke in the perfect place I couldn't do it.

Haven't been on GH much the past week or so...because IRL is bothering me.

We were supposed to be moving into our new house today. But our buyer's loan didn't close in time, which means our loan can't close yet, so now it looks like maybe the day after Christmas at the earliest. What a pain. Who wants to move the day after Christmas?

On Monday afternoon a good friend of mine in his early sixties died of a sudden heart attack. Ralph was a retired police captain of nearly 40 years, who just this summer ran with two of his daughters in a half-marathon. The guy was arguably in better shape than 34-year-old me, but sometimes that stuff doesn't matter. He wasn't even doing anything strenuous; he was down in the basement painting a birdhouse which was to be his daughter's Christmas gift. His wife came home from work and found him like that, just lying there. This one hit me pretty hard, I volunteered with Ralph on a weekly basis ever since he retired two years ago. He and his wife had my family in their home many, many times. He was one of the most generous and humble men I've known. He was actually going to come and help us move today.

That's really bad. I lost my best friend at 57 but he was diabetic, overweight, and had stopped taking care of himself.

My "New Year's Resolution" is going to be getting in better health all around. Fortunately I am not so far gone that it is out of reach.

"It's 110, but it doesn't feel it to me, right. If anybody goes down. Everybody was so worried yesterday about you and they never mentioned me. I'm up here sweating like a dog. They don’t think about me. This is hard work.
Do you feel the breeze? I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care."

The crazy part is, in Sunday I was 50/50 about calling him in early this week, working Monday instead of Thursday. Had I done that he would have been there with me that afternoon, with an AED right down the hall from us and the fire department literally right across the street. Who knows what would have happened? But it was just his time.

It's too ****ing hot in my apartment. The window is fully open. And it's still too hot. In London. IN DECEMBER.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

My 46-year-old brother died 18 months ago. Ran his morning 5k, got home and ran a bath. Usually his girlfriend works from home, but had to go into the office that morning. He got out of the bath and fell over dead in the hallway. She franticly tried to reach him all day and found him when she got home. Just bad luck, unfortunately.

Hope you're persevering. I know how difficult sudden, unexpected loss can be.

Define "hot".  41 degrees C outside and 35 inside is too hot here, although apparently the cool change is about here.

I feel like I'm constantly ****ing waiting. The only thing I ever seem to be able to do is plan. Yet everyone else has a great time just doing **** spontaneously.

Wait for uni to end so I can go home and work on some projects. Oh we are working 13 hours a day right up until christmas. ****ing wait for work to finish. I can't do any projects over christmas because I'm meant to be hanging out with family. ****ing wait for ****mas to be over, happy joy joy. WE get to open presents and get **** I don't need and buy other people **** they don't need and drain money.

Ooops. Whats that? Oh yeah more work after christmas. Wait for that to finish. Oh the chainsaw broke? Wait for that to get rebuilt so I can go a head with the group buy. God forbid chopping down hard wood by hand. I already did that with 6 trees and worked at night time before realising I was going to physically burn myself out. Especially in 35 - 40 degree heat. So I just gotta wait for a week or so when I can dedicate my whole time to it. SOooo, I guess I will work on some other projects in the mean time. ahahah, gotta ****ing wait on mail, or wait on internet to upload photos. Wait for money to buy a tripod so I can take photos like a normal person. Then **** just constantly goes wrong. Like the fact that the entire house moves so a mount that a shambled together to do a stop motion project of the current mod log which I poured 16 hours into was all **** and focus was off. GREAT.

IS this what life is? JUst WAIT on everything? WAIT WAIT WAIT. I seem to have waited years and years for my time to shine and for things to get easier but they don't. Just end up ****ing waiting out in the middle of nowhere. idk. rant over.

Ever have one of those days where everything bothers you? Like you know it is you and you know it is oversensitivity but it just all still does? I'm having one of those days.

I blame it on the 3 hours of blaring Nutcracker I had to endure. Here's to a better tomorrow!

The cool change has arrived, and it's 21 degrees outside.

Due to wind direction and window position, it's still 29 degrees in here.

Today was like that all day for me.  :blank:

I blame it on not enough sleep and locking myself out of my room, and realized I left the keys to my door in a place I couldn't get to, requiring me to break into my own room through a window I jimmied open. Professional house burglar, but only for my house and only because I'm an idiot. The whole day has been one of high anxiety for me, and I hate that ****. Feeling like I'm second guessing everything. I also have problems realizing my worth at times. Really dislike that side of myself. I overlook a lot of my talent and feel useless. Bleh.

Anywayz~

Salud! To a better tomorrow!
